RAYNE’S NUTRITIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Rayne's fundamental nutritional philosophy is to provide as many nutrients as possible from whole food ingredients, adding less, supplementing less. Ultimately, your dog or cat has certain nutrients they need every day to meet their needs, promote their health, and improve their longevity. WHERE those nutrients come from matters!

There are many interactions between micro nutrients that our pet will miss out on if their diet is lab-engineered and designed to provide everything through supplements and additives.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT USING WHOLE FOOD INGREDIENTS?

Whole food diets will look visibly different from batch to batch and can to can. You may see differences within your bag of kibble - lighter or darker kibbles, higher or lower densities which impact kibble size and shape - this is all a reflection of the whole food ingredients going into these products.

Our expert manufacturing teams are monitoring throughout production, making minute adjustments to minimize changes in color, shape, and texture, but whole food diets will always vary in appearance - just like the ingredients themselves. Through extensive testing of our ingredients, testing throughout production, and comprehensive finished product analyses, we know we are providing your pet with a nutritionally consistent product in every scoop of kibble and every spoonful of wet food, but we don't (and won't) add any chemical colors or stabilizers to make the look uniform.

Whole food diets SHOULD look different, just like your own food you make at home.

WHAT MAKES OUR FOOD WHOLE FOOD? (WHOLE FOOD AND KIBBLE? HOW?)

Rayne diets start with whole foods, fresh meat and vegetables, to deliver the best nutrition to your pet. Although our kibbles look like…well…kibble, they are hiding their whole food roots. Our kibble is extruded, like other kibbles on the market, but the difference is the ingredients going in. Using more fresh, whole foods, and less powders and meals results in an end diet that has gone through less processing, less cooking, and provides more nutrients from the ingredients going in, relying less on supplementation.
